Formaldehyde has a strong odor and is highly flammable. It is a clear liquid that is used in various products, including cleaning solutions, building materials, cement, textiles, paper products and supplies tens isolation. It is also used commercially for its anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and disinfectant properties.

But what about formaldehyde and cancer? Is it as dangerous as people think? Although long-term research on formaldehyde has not been completely finished, there are several indications that point to him as a carcinogen, or cancer-causing agent.

In fact, the US government has officially qualified as such. The EPA has had classified as a carcinogen since 1987.

There have been a number of studies showing that cancer actually produced in both rats and humans and studies of people working in embalming fluid around as embalming have been shown to have a higher rate of cancer than other groups. Johnson & Johnson scandal

Although the company claims that the amount of formaldehyde is not large enough to be harmful to humans – including infant humans – the fact is that it has still allowed this chemical for the time they have been doing no more tears shampoo.

But now, the company has announced the elimination of formaldehyde and the shampoo is removed from a hundred other products they make too.

could be seen as a sign of good intentions that the company is removing it from their products. But the real question is: why has it not been removed so far

Obviously, the product does not require particular manufacturing ingredient, and they are now using a different formula that is free of formaldehyde?.

In addition, the timing is suspicious because California just passed a law that requires cosmetic companies to identify more than 160 chemicals that could be harmful to people who had previously been kept secret.

Johnson & Johnson is not the only culprit for the inclusion of harmful chemicals in bath and body. Advocates are pushing for other cosmetic companies to remove harmful ingredients after independent researchers found that their products still contained the offending substances.

Johnson & Johnson claim that cost them tens of millions of dollars to make the changes, so it is unclear if other companies do the same, or if they can afford.
