Nutella is one of the go-to food for many people. A mixture of hazelnuts, cocoa and a number of other ingredients that are supposed to be “good for you ‘is undoubtedly the reason why a large population of people love Nutella.

Well, because it is extremely high in fat, which is bad for the waistline and heart; but there is another reason why palm oil is bad – for the environment. You see, palm oil is leading from palm kernel oil.

These trees are native to Africa, Indonesia and parts of Brazil and in order to obtain it, manufacturers are cutting down trees in these parts of the world. Production of palm oil is contributing significantly to deforestation, which in turn has led to a number of animals in danger of extinction; the Sumatran orangutan, for example.

Soy lecithin, the GMO is in Nutella, it is the waste product of soybean oil. Once soil degummed oil, soy lecithin is left on a sludge containing solvents and pesticides.
